Our strength has always been in our events and gatherings. Traditional archery is one of those things that needs to be experienced to fully grasp. You can shoot a bow alone of course, but doing so with others like you makes it all the more enjoyable. Give a group of people bows, arrows, and a place to shoot and a good time will be impossible to avoid.

The MLA hosts two events annually: the Great Lakes Longbow Invitational (GLLI) and the Annual Spring Shoot and Membership Meeting. Please mark both on your calendars, but consider attending the events below as well.

For a fun filled weekend with the family, come out to Berrien Springs Sportsman's Club for the Compton Traditional Bowhunters Rendezvous. Vendors, specialty shoots, seminars, camping and of course lots of 3-D shooting on 4 3-D ranges.

Elm Hall is one shoot you must experience to appreciate.  With both 3D and broadhead targets, and courses arranged in a realistic setting, it is a pleasure to shoot.  Saturday evening dinner for campers, novelty shoots, and campfires round out this traditional event.
